Meet our professional team including Dr. Alenabi and Dr. Wong, UBC graduates with more than 20 years experience, registered dental hygienist and assistants.
Dr. Farid Alenabi is a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Graduated from the University of British Columbia. He has worked in cities of North Vancouver, Tri-cities, Abbotsford, and works as the principal dentist at the Morgan Heights Dental Centre. He has more than 20 years experience in all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Alenabi has performed Root canal therapies and retreatment of over 10,000 root canals, calcified and complicated root canals, and has completed the treatment of more than 4000 units of crowns and bridges. He completed and received a certificate for 300 hours of continue education in advanced courses of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Alenabi is a member of American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
Dr. Alenabi strongly believes in patient education by providing them with thorough description of their dental treatments. He is sensitive towards his patients’ dental needs and complaints.
Dr. Anthony Wong is an experienced dentist in this dental centre. His main areas of expertise are in the areas of Dental Implants and related prosthetic treatments, as well as Smile Design and Cosmetic Makeovers. Of course he is also well versed in all areas of general dentistry.
Dr. Wong graduated in 1976 from the University of British Columbia with degree in Dentistry. At the same time, he was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.
Prior to that, he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia.
Throughout his many years in dentistry Dr. Wong has pursued higher levels in dentistry by participating in and contributing his expertise in various study groups in the areas of Endodontics, Periodontics, Crown & bridge, Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Wong was selected to be listed in the International Who’s Who of Professionals in 2003 because of his activities in many areas of the profession and being committed to both educating himself as well as others, which he kept up till this day.
Pat has been practicing Dental Hygiene for over 20 years. As an advocate for life-long learning, Pat shares her understanding of the connection between oral health and overall health, and educates patients to achieve both. Her ultimate goal is to ensure patients always enjoy a positive dental experience. When not working, she leads a busy life raising her family and enjoying all the activities beautiful British Columbia has to offer.
Raquel graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2010 from Regency Dental Hygiene Academy in Toronto Ontario. Ever since, she has enjoyed practicing her craft and learning through continuing studies about the gift we have-oral health!
Her goal is to pass this enthusiasm on and become a partner with our patients by customizing oral hygiene education to their specific needs as well as helping them overcome any anxieties of dentistry through empathy and a sense of humour.
She is fluent in both Spanish and English and she finds it a pleasure to work with children. In her free time she enjoys exploring new cultures and viewing architecture through her travels – which inspires her diverse arts and crafts projects. She also finds animals endearing and is concerned about their welfare.
Amber has been a dental receptionist for 5 years. She loves to read, cook and travel with her husband, as well as spend time with family and friends.
What she enjoys most about her job is building a rapport with patients.
Barb graduated as a Certified Dental Administrator in 2002. She enjoys getting to know the patients on a personal level, and is very helpful in assisting them with insurance issues.
She also likes to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable when they come in, and is known for her sense of humor. When not at work, Barb enjoys her Zumba classes, entertaining, and traveling with her husband Paul.
Marlene has been practicing Dental Hygiene for 9 years. She graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2006 from Niagara College in Ontario.
Her ultimate goal is to provide her patients with comfortable and quality care based on their needs. Marlene believes that a solid patient education is crucial for oral disease prevention and care. She also enjoys keeping current on new technologies and techniques.
When not at work, Marlene enjoys the company of her family and friends as well as traveling, dancing, and enjoying flavors of the world!
Marilyn entered the dental profession as a Certified Dental Assistant and brings with her over 25 years of dental experience. She is our newest member of the dental reception team and enjoys getting to know or patients while improving their dental experience.
In her spare time she likes swimming, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Niki, Certified Dental Assistant
Nikki graduated in 2006, from the certified dental assisting program at CDI College. She likes being able to assist and educate patients in transforming their smiles. She also enjoys building good rapport with patients, to help them feel more at ease in the dental chair.
In her little amount of spare time, She enjoys watching her daughter’s perform in the many dances she practices. Nikki also enjoys hot yoga or a run in her spare time.
Bogdanka, Certified Dental Assistant
Bogdanka has joined our team in 2015 after graduating from Vancouver Community College in Certified Dental Assisting Program. She is a dedicated assistant providing positive, relaxing and friendly experience to all patients and making their visits more comfortable.
At her free time she is busy mother of twin boys and loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys walks and occasional horseback riding.
